Maria is a clinical psychologist in a private practice. She has 30 years of experience in working with individuals and couples in psychotherapy and counselling. She was initially trained in Poland and worked at the Wroclaw University for six years. On arriving in Australia, she completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Western Australia.

In her practice, Maria works with a focus on exploring both the conscious and unconscious aspects of human experience to help resolve personal struggles within the family and workplace. She assists clients to engage in self-observation so they can discover more about who they are and how they unconsciously affect their relationships. She works with a wide range of human experience such as:

anxiety and depression	managing strong emotions	marriage and relationship difficulties	communication problems
confidence and self-esteem concerns	trauma, grief and stress	lack of fulfilment in life

Maria's main interest is in assisting clients in the process of self-discovery so they could live more fulfilling and satisfying lives. She has been trained in various theoretical models of understanding and treating people's behaviour. Maria offers either brief or long term psychotherapy.

Maria continues to renew her practice of psychotherapy, completing the Hakomi Integrative Psychotherapy course of training which is a mindfulness based approach to psychotherapy.
